DEA Drug Unit Commanders Course

Today, the DEA Drug Unit Commanders Course graduated.
This intensive one-week program was meticulously designed to equip commanders with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively supervise operational drug enforcement units. From a managerial perspective, the course delved into a comprehensive range of core topics, ensuring a well-rounded educational experience.
Participants had the opportunity to explore vital subjects such as operational planning, critical incident response, risk management, officer safety, leadership, ethics, and professionalism in law enforcement. Additionally, they received valuable insights into confidential source management, controlled deliveries, and narco-terrorism, which are essential areas for effective drug enforcement. Moreover, the course provided elective modules on subjects such as financial investigations, money laundering, presentation and briefing skills, and emergency first aid.
