DEA Chemical Diversion Investigations Course

On July 14, we celebrated the successful graduation of the one-week DEA Chemical Diversion Investigations course. This comprehensive program provided participants with invaluable knowledge and skills related to the identification, investigation, and dismantling of precursor chemical suppliers and distributors involved in the illicit drug trade.
Throughout the course, attendees were exposed to a range of essential topics, including drug manufacturing techniques, chemical toxicology, diversion investigative methods, audit techniques, and international controlled deliveries. The course curriculum was carefully designed to immerse participants in a multi-phase chemical investigation, allowing them to actively lead and practice these crucial investigative tools.
The highlight of the program was the culmination in a mock trial, where participants had the opportunity to showcase their proficiency. Engaging in a realistic setting, they presented compelling evidence, provided testimony against a chemical supplier, and skillfully prosecuted their case.
