Cyber Exploitation and Investigation Course

On Friday, the Cyber Exploitation and Investigation course concluded.
This two-week course was developed and presented jointly by the United States Secret Service (USSS) and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). This course provided agents with the knowledge and skills to tackle the growing cyber threat. The course instructed agents on how to implement technology and provide cutting-edge tactics to meet evolving cyber investigative needs. Agents also received an enhanced cyber investigative skillset leading to successful arrests, seizures, and prosecution of cyber-enabled transnational criminal organizations. Topics included crypto currency, block chain analysis, documenting electronic evidence, memory capture and collection, phone app security and exploitation, cyber transactions (uncover Darknet purchases), cyber threats, and safeguarding personal security risks.
