Classes Back in Session After Summer Break

The first course of the autumn semester has just completed. Many thanks to the amazing instructors from DHS/DNDO for making the Radiological and Nuclear Smuggling and Detection Course so valuable for the delegations. This course provided an opportunity for front line officers to participate in hands-on activities to learn how to effectively detect nuclear and other radioactive materials. The morning sessions focused on classroom activities to introduce important topics, while the afternoon sessions provided opportunities to reinforce the classroom sessions through table top and hands-on activities, including the use of radiation detection equipment to search for, and detect, radioactive materials.
