On September 26, ATF’s annual International Post Blast Investigations course concluded. 24 students from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary, Kosovo and Moldova were provided with hands-on training by reconstructing components of an explosive device recovered through various investigative techniques, including sifting. The IPBI involved the students in a guided practical exercise, where instructors guided the students through one of three bombing scenarios. The final practical exercise entailed the processing of a crime scene caused by the detonation of a bomb inside a vehicle. These exercises were designed to analyze the specific duties of each team member, utilizing ATF’s 100 Step method of investigation.
As always, the program was a great success.
We warmly welcome all 24 of our participants to the ILEA Alumni Family! Congratulations!
