New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police - Command and Leadership Course
On June 20, we concluded the two-week Command and Leadership course, instructed by the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police.
This course was a comprehensive law enforcement program that combined theory and application to cultivate exceptional leaders in the field. Delivered by highly experienced practitioners and specialists, the curriculum seamlessly integrated behavioral science theories and scenario-based learning to enhance education and skill development. Throughout the program, students explored four key areas: preparing yourself to lead, understanding and motivating others, leading great teams, and leading great organizations. These areas delved into topics such as self-preparation, interpersonal relationships, team management, and organizational leadership. The development of this law enforcement program involved a collaborative effort with the United States Military Academy at West Point. Emphasizing leadership as a science with logical thinking and critical methodology, along with the utilization of police-oriented case studies, allowed for the practical application of organizational theory within a law enforcement context.
Heartfelt congratulations to the participants from Croatia, Hungary, Slovenia, and Slovakia!
